Our ProAms

We have two types of ProAms:

ProAm Pro+ Event

Professional + designated amateurs
Professional assembles the team
Professional players play for a Professional purse, while amateurs team with the professional and play for a team prize.
Professional players at these events pay nothing to play if they stay with another team member. If they choose a single room, they pay extra for that, and they pay for a guest if they choose to bring one.

An example of pricing for a ProAm Pro+ Event:

Professional entry $ 0 (if staying in double occupancy with a team member)
Amateur entry (double occupancy) $4,795.
Single room +1,200
Non playing guest +1,500
The Amateur entry fee partly offsets the professional costs, so professionals play free.

ProAm Destination Event

Teams of 4 or 5 (depending on course)
May include a professional, or may be all amateurs.
All players pay the same rate. Team members may choose to contribute to professional entry fee if they include a professional player, but the same rate applies to each player.
Destination events are priced lower because the pro portion is not distributed to each amateur.
There is NO professional purse
Everyone plays according to the Tournament format rules. Pros scores are included for the team at net—no handicapping.

An example for pricing for the SAME event as above, but as a ProAm Destination event:

Professional entry $3,795
Amateur (per player-double occupancy) $3,795
Single room +1,200
Non playing guest +1,500

Our Policy for Play

Our Policy for Play – Men

Our ProAm policy for all players is designed for maximum enjoyment and equality in competition.

ProAm Events policy uses the Rule of 70 & 85 for all Amateurs (combined Age + Handicap Index).

Rule of 70 play from one tee forward of the Tournament tees, and the Rule of 85 will play from the Forward Tees.

Tournament play for Amatuer Men will be from the following  distances (at sea level equivalents):

Tournament Tees – 6700-6300 yds

Rule of 70 Tees – 6300-5800 yds

Rule of 85 Tees – 5800-5400 yds

Professionals – 7200-6700 yds

Professionals (50 & up) – 6700-6300 yds

Ladies

Professionals – 6300-5800 yds

Amateurs – 5800-5400 yds

To allow for improved pace of play and enjoyment of players, tees will be adjusted forward based on course difficulty.
